Eating leafy greens may help slow mental decline due to high levels of brain boosting nutrients, such as vitamin K, lutein, folate, and beta carotene. 

One study showed that those individuals who ate one to two servings a day of leafy greens, scored the equivalent of 11 years younger on tests of mental ability, compared to those who ate little or no leafy greens
