Probiotics, also known as the “good bacteria” in yogurt, may benefit mental health and capabilities. This “good” bacteria, directly related to gut health, may help to modulate stress, emotional behaviour and brain biochemistry. Research in one particular study has shown that patients with a history of brain injury, showed improvements in their cognitive functions after consuming yogurt with probiotics.
