Haan Palcu-Chang is a Taiwanese-Romanian chef who was born and raised in Toronto.

He grew up eating cabbage rolls at his bunica’s and going out for dim sum with his Taiwanese family.

As a chef, he has led award-winning kitchens in Toronto and Paris and worked in some of the best restaurants in Europe, Singapore, and Canada.

His cooking style is eclectic – inspired as it is by his Eurasian heritage, experience cooking abroad, and the influences of growing up in one of the world’s most multicultural cities – but is centred around big, vibrant, crave-able flavours.

He is also the author of a small collection of Romanian Recipes.

He currently lives on Salt Spring Island with his beautiful little family.
