Mmm-matcha! With more antioxidants, EGCG (epigallocatechin gallate) and L-Theanine than any other superfood or drink, matcha is a powerful superfood for supporting mental energy, improving memory and reducing inflammation. In Traditional Chinese Medicine, it’s said to stimulate mental clarity and boost longevity. While green tea and matcha have similar properties, the benefit of drinking matcha is that you’re getting 100% of the benefits as opposed to when you steep and drink green tea, you’re only extracting some of the available nutrients. I love to enjoy matcha in my Matcha Smoothie!

Matcha Green Tea Smoothie

Ingredients
- 1/2 soft avocado, seed removed, peeled
- 1 tsp matcha powder
- 2-3 tbsp raw honey
- 1 banana
- 1 scoop plant-based protein powder
- 1 tsp pure vanilla
- 1 cup nut/hemp milk of your choice
- Filtered water to your desired consistency.
Instructions
- 1 Combine all ingredients in blender and blend until smooth.
- 2 Makes 1 generous serving.
- 3 Make half the amount for a snack size.
- 4 If you have extra, you can use it as a power snack for later on. Just keep it refrigerated.
