SUPERFOOD // HEMP SEEDS
Your brain is the fattest organ in your body and is said to consist of at least 60% fat. Knowing this, it only makes sense that we need to nourish it with lots of healthy fats! Hemp seeds are a great source of healthy fats, specifically essential fatty acids (EFAs) and polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFAs). Omega-3 fatty acids are actually found in concentrated amounts in the brain and have been shown to play an important role in memory and cognition. A great way to get more hemp seeds into your diet is to sprinkle them on top of soups, salads and smoothies or even in my Hearty Hemp Flat Bread.
