SUPERFOOD // PEACHES:
A study found that peaches are a good source of chlorogenic acid, which is an antioxidant, helping to protect healthy cells. Caffeic acid, another antioxidant found in peaches has been studied for its role in potentially preventing cancer cells from growing. Another plant compound in peaches, fisetin, is a flavonol that was recently identified and could potentially protect the brain against Alzheimer’s and memory loss, by helping to reduce inflammation in the brain.
