Blueberries are a plant with one of the highest amounts of antioxidants, especially anthocyanins, which are responsible for their deep blue colour and health benefits. One of these benefits is skin health. Anthocyanins in blueberries help fight oxidative DNA damage, which can be a result of sun exposure and pollution. The abundance of vitamin C is a big factor in building collagen, which gives skin its elasticity and youthful appearance.
