SUPERFOOD // BEETS:
This salad makes beets taste absolutely delicious when they are marinated in lemon juice, balsamic vinegar and garlic. Sesame seeds and almonds add tasty crunch and texture. Besides being delicious, this beet salad could even support brain health. A study done in 2017 found that consuming beet juice before exercising can improve the function of aging brains. Beets are rich in nitrate, which the body converts into nitric oxide that helps blood vessels to relax and dilate, which means more oxygenated blood then gets delivered to the brain.
