The base recipe is light and refreshing using romaine lettuce along with celery, cucumber, and pineapple. Romaine is low in calories yet rich in vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants. Eating leafy greens may help slow mental decline due to high levels of brain boosting nutrients, such as vitamin K, lutein, folate, and beta carotene.
