Brussels sprouts are a good source of vitamin K and vitamin C. Vitamin K is an important nutrient for cognitive function and vitamin C has been studied for its role in brain function and its ability to protect cells from oxidative stress.

Low Sugar Cranberry Sauce
Ingredients
- 227g pack fresh or frozen cranberries
- 1 cup freshly squeezed orange juice
- 2 teaspoons - 1/4 cup maple (depends on your sweetness preference)
- 1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla
- 1 cinnamon stick
Instructions
- 1 Place all ingredients in small sauce pan and bring to a boil for 5 minutes
- 2 Reduce temperature to maintain a gentle boil until sauce is thickened up, stirring occasionally, around 10-15 minutes
- 3 Sauce will thicken further as it cools to a loose jam consistency
