Turmeric has powerful anti-inflammatory & antioxidant properties that are good for your brain.
- 1 - head escarole or Boston lettuce
- 3 TBSP - turmeric
- 3 TBSP - sunflower oil
- Sea salt and freshly ground black pepper
- 1 Wash and dry lettuce greens, then place on a plate and season with salt and pepper. Sprinkle 1½ tablespoons of turmeric over escarole, but do not mix (or greens will turn a bright yellow colour).
- 2 Place the escarole on a lightly oiled grill for 3 minutes, turning once. Remove escarole when edges are darkened and crispy. Sprinkle with remaining turmeric and serve.
